Oppo Realme 2 Launching in India on 28th August: Should Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Worry?
The Indian-centric brand of OPPO, Realme will launch its second Android smartphone in the country next week which is Oppo Realme 2. The first realme smartphone, Realme1, saw great success in the Indian market, due to its unique design and decent hardware specifications.
A Realme1 successor, Oppo Realme 2, is expected to be even more effective in almost all areas. With significant upgrades in Display, Camera, and Battery Life Departments, Realme 2 can prove to be a very strong competitor for Note 5 Pro, compared to its predecessor.
Notched Full HD+ Display with 19:9 Aspect Ratio:-
Unlike OPPO Realme1, the Realme2 will come with a 2 6.2-inch display that includes 1080 x 2280 full HD + resolution and a 19: 9 aspect ratio.
Thanks to the footprint on the top of the display, Realme 2 will have a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8%, which will significantly improve the 75.7% screen-to-body ratio of its predecessor.
In comparison, the Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 5.99-inch full-screen display with 1080 x 2160 full HD + resolution and an 18: 9 aspect ratio.
AI-Powered Dual Rear Cameras:-
Realme 1 comes with a back camera behind 13 MP which is not quite competitive compared to most of its competitors, which are equipped with dual rear cameras. Its successor, however, is expected to set up a more impressive 13MP + 2MP dual camera on the back.
In addition to the secondary 2 MP depth sensor, Realme 2 will have AI-powered intelligent visual identification and AI Portrait mode which will help users capture the portrait with background haze effect like DSLR.
Redmi Note 5 Pro is equipped with 12 MP + 5 MP dual cameras with support for a similar AP features and full HD video capture.
Large 4230mAh Capacity Battery:-
Thanks to the 3410 mAh battery, when it comes to battery life, Realme 1 is not the best-class smartphone.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 packs a large 4000 mAh capacity battery, providing better battery life. However, Realme 2 could be more effective than the Note 5 Pro in terms of battery life.
Recently confirmed by a teaser released by the company, the Realme 2 will pack a very impressive 4230 mAh battery. Realme 2 is expected to come with fast charging support, though it has not yet been officially confirmed.
Fingerprint Sensor + AI Facial Unlock:-
These days most budget smartphones come with both a fingerprint sensor as well as face recognition. Realme 1, however, supports only the face unlock and lacks a fingerprint sensor.
Thankfully, Realme has learned from his mistake and has included a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor at Realme 2. Even though the company has not officially tampered with the feature.
But we are pretty sure that the realm will also come with 2 faces unlock support. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with both a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as Face Unlock for quick access.
Realme 2 is expected to be especially available on Flipkart and it can start less than Rs. 10,000 in India. While the original version of the smartphone will have less RAM and onboard storage than the more expensive forms.
It still has all the major features such as display and a larger 4230 mAh battery. Redmi Note 5 Pro currently starts with a base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version of Rs 14,999 in India.
However, it ’s the previous phone Realme one was exclusively available on Amazon.
