There are 5 reasons why this accident happened:

1. There was no light on the tracks:

Although it was a celebration, and it was not happening for the first time, there was no proper lighting system. The victims, due to poor light, did not understand that they were going on the tracks.

2. There were no policemen who could stop the mob by overcrowding the crowd:

All the policemen were busy participating in VIPs and other important people and could not see why the crowd was spreading on the tracks. Amritsar Police Commissioner S.S. Srivastava later told reporters that 58 people have died and 72 have reached hospitals in the city. Srivastava said the toll could be increased.

3. The speed of the train was very high:

The train speed was very high and the driver got crashed before understanding anything. Talking to reporters, a man said, “Train has not come anywhere.” “Before someone can feel what was happening, it ran away from many people.”

Another man said, “When the effigy started flowing in full flow, people began to fear it and fear that it could fall on them.” “They did not realize that a speeding train was coming and the train did not listen to their shooter.”

Another man felt that the tragedy would have claimed at least 100 people. Many children were included in the dead, another witness said.

The irony is that before the tragedy, another train passed the area but no casualties occurred, a railway official said.

Video clips posted on social media showed to some people who clearly saw the train trying to escape from the site. Some of them were also killed below.

Wells and Ronne filled the air because people were looking for their closest and dear ones. With the angry people, after a few hours of the incident, the crashed people did not allow them to be removed, the children with their children were lying on the accident site.

It can be said to be one of the worst trains disturbs, in the form of 58 people, all in a festive mood, due to the burning of Ravana statue from the railway track, was killed by a speeding train in Punjab on Friday.

As a result, there has been a lot of anger in the region and country-wide harassment. More than 72 others were injured, many of them seriously injured.

And counting is still going on. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has not gone to the site yet and sources say he is going any time in the morning.

During the tracks on the tracks in Jodha gate near Dhobi Ghat in the city, some 700 people were watching a large number of Ravana’s grip when Jalandhar-Amritsar DMU passenger train was coming from Hoshiarpur to Amritsar, which was injured at around 7 was.
