TikTok India says that it has strong measures for users’ safety.
A day after the Tamil Nadu government gave assurances of action against the video-sharing app “TikTok” in view of concerns about its misuse, the company claimed on Wednesday that it has strong measures to protect users and mechanisms. Report the violation of the content criteria.
TikTok India said in a statement that it was in the process of appointing a Chief Nodal Officer out of India for better coordination with law enforcement agencies.
Started by a startup in China, this app allows users to shoot and share videos on social media platforms.
In response to the question asked by the PTI about the steps of the state government in the company statement, “It is our priority to maintain a safe and positive in-app environment, in tactics.”
“We have strong measures to protect users against abuse, including easy reporting mechanisms that enable users and law enforcement to report content that violates our usage and community guidelines”.

State Information Technology Minister M. Manikananan had said on Tuesday that the state government will put a potential ban on this app in collaboration with the Center, which allegedly confuses children and youth.
He also said that political leaders and many others were expressing ‘concern’ on the app.
The minister gave a reply by MLA (Nagapattinam) M. Thimimun Ansari of Maninathay Janayanaka Kachi, commenting that the social media app is allegedly misusing the children and youth and is demanding action for the ban.
